But if you pause for a moment and consider it, her feelings aren't good and aren't coming from a good place. They're not the feelings of someone who loves country and people and wants the best for it. (I'm not saying she doesn't I'm saying her smug cheer is not coming from that place in her, but from her hatred)
An election shouldn't be about winning over the loser and feeling smug about it. It should be about choosing the best for our country.

And the thing is, deep down they know it isn't real which is why they are so defensive, angry and scared to hear evidence against this world view.
If you get to know people personally, they're constantly at war with their inner voice - that voice which tells only the truth, and knows - hence all the mental disorders, depression, anxiety, dysphorias, etc.
That's the media's doing, IMO. They've literally created an alternate reality that democrats live in, and they believe theirs is the real world.
