The Midwest was majority ethnically German during WWI (and WW2), and they behave as magnificent Patriots. I still believe most Chinese Americans will do the same.
I understand the distinction you're trying to make but a lot of Chinese people actually are fully onboard with what the CCP is doing and are in fact our enemy.
I agree. I happened to know Chinese nationals working here in US.
Here are my two cents: US Academia prefers to recruit obedient Chinese PhD candidate rather than train perhaps challenging Americans. Based on my experience, I would say that these Chinese students are 2/3 genuine, 1/3 spies. The primary guilty parties are the traitors who let that happens.
FYI: I am not in charge of recruiting in any institutions I have been working. And I have been fully aware of CCP infiltration.
Do Chinese citizens need permission from the CCP to move to another country? I assume so. How do they earn approval? Do they need extra high CCP loyalty / social credit standing?
Nope. Why would it? It doesn't make sense to. You go to the consulate of the country in question and apply and get the visa, just like you go to a Chinese consulate in say, Chicago or NYC to get a Chinese tourist visa and then buy a ticket and fly out. The home country isn't involved.
A lot of them are leaving because they don't want to live there anymore. Living in Vancouver Canada you realize quickly there are two types of chinese people living in our city. Those who left because they want to live in Canada and those that want to create another China. The ones who moved to Canada because they like western society generally hate other Chinese people.
I would put today’s Chinese students as 3/3 spies. Or at the very least 2/3 spies 1/3 useful idiots.
I’d say that the Chinese here that are not spies are the ones that risked everything to escape in the 70s and 80s to come here with nothing. I wasn’t in DC this weekend, but my friend posted about how many older Chinese people he was meeting decked out in MAGA gear - most of them immigrants from that era. Just like the Russians that came here in the 80s and 90s and the Cubans today. People risking their lives to run away from communism are usually some of the loudest advocates against it.
It's probably similar percantage-wise to what we have here in the US. Communism creates shitty circumstances for many at the bottom. Worse than what we likely see here in the US because of the concentration of wealth and lack of rights.
Until their govt is dissolved and they surrender, all are enemy combatants. Particularly any of them on our soil.
Chinese-American citizens, particularly those who have been here for generations - obviously ok.
Ones who immigrated here in the last 10 years (and weren't fleeing the CCP govt specifically / refugees) ... I'd be open to reviewing. No need to go FDR, but I'd check for mainland communication trails at the very least if they exist.
Hong Kong would pretty much be refugee status - particularly these days.
And immigrating from the Eastern Block during the Cold War was far more background intensive and interview intensive than the western nations at the time. That's what I'm referring to.
Yep but also all their barbaric, ancient, sub-human practices are extremely unsanitary, and give us pandemics like covid. It's not a mystery why the majority of new viruses come from China. Even the Spanish flu of 1918 that killed millions, was not actually Spanish, it came from China as well (it was discovered and recognized first in Spain). The black death (plague), that killed millions in Europe, also originated in China.
Today, Covid 19, they are saying it came from a bat and was transmitted to humans. Eating live bats is considered a delicacy in China... Hmm ... No way, world suffers again because of them
Ok. I am just telling you most of the Chinese I met are not supportive of the CCP and share that at a personal risk. Not even daring talking about it in front of their countrymen, knowing full well what would happen if they get reported to the consulate. But ok. BTY virtue signaling is a full grown American problem, and not one I suffer from, so why don't you take it with your neighbors first?
I don’t have any problems with the Chinese people in general
However if we would have been invaded by the Taliban or some shit around 9/11, I wouldn’t be too fired up to take in a bunch of refugees, that doesn’t mean I’m going to go out of my way to fuck with them either.
I have some Chinese friends, they seem cool and based. I don’t think they’re CCP agents, but I don’t trust them like I trust family. Which is human nature.
I think what I’m saying is I’ve never been the type to target someone based on their ethnicity, but I’m also not the type to pull a Swalwell either.
Above all, I guess I’m not one to normally talk about this shit. A spy is a spy, treason is treason. Prove it, then shoot them or toss them out of a helicopter.
Side note: I’m descendent of the Germans you mentioned. We kept to ourselves.
I'm consider an American Born Chinese and I can tell you this Fuck China and all that hates America and its freedom. We might fight amongst each other but I be dammed if we let some other country invade and take it all from us!
Perhaps, but Germans in the US hadn't been indoctrinated with decades of fear and propaganda by the Nazis. I believe that the average Chinese citizen would fight for their government. It's only the younger subversives that we see standing up to the CCP. Not to different from here where it's the younger, more tech savvy generations standing up to the deep state.
Who are the CCP mainly made up of?

If you're just a regular person immigrating, no you don't need any permission.
Social credit scores don't play into it at all?
Nope. Why would it? It doesn't make sense to. You go to the consulate of the country in question and apply and get the visa, just like you go to a Chinese consulate in say, Chicago or NYC to get a Chinese tourist visa and then buy a ticket and fly out. The home country isn't involved.

Commies of all races, genders, and creeds are the enemy.
It's probably similar percantage-wise to what we have here in the US. Communism creates shitty circumstances for many at the bottom. Worse than what we likely see here in the US because of the concentration of wealth and lack of rights.
And social indoctrination makes people think communism is better than capitalism even communists living under communism think this.
When someone has been indoctrinated to such a degree, you're better off calling them your enemy than trying to convert them.
Yea but to be fair China has 1b+ people
I’d say probably 10%, if that is for the CCP
Yea, that’s still 100m+, but I’d feel comfortable in saying 900m+ Chinese hate that shit.
Same way the liberals here APPEAR to be the majority, it’s likely the same over there.
Propaganda works wonders when you control the media, especially in an already communist state.
The same way most Cubans hate the Cuban regime, and this one I can actually speak on.
Fuck man every Chinese person I know fucking hates China haha...
I agree with you BarackOPenis
That's not how war works.
Until their govt is dissolved and they surrender, all are enemy combatants. Particularly any of them on our soil.

Not easy to rise up and take out the CCP.
Look at how much trouble we are having with the Deep State.
Bring back HUAC.
Hong Kong would pretty much be refugee status - particularly these days.

It's Cold War 2 right now.
In other news water is wet.

Take your virtue signaling and shove it up your ass
Why don’t we just call China the “East Asia region of peace”
Why do you think muh racism is the hot button issue that has infected EVERYTHING? Because the CCP wanted it that way for this exact reason.
Ok. I am just telling you most of the Chinese I met are not supportive of the CCP and share that at a personal risk. I've been to China, done work in China, worked with many Mainland Chinese.
A good majority tow the party line.............years of propaganda/brainwashing.
You haven’t met a Chinamen then.

Americans are americans. It doesn't matter where they originated.
Commies are commies. They will be.... Handled.
On an unrelated note, does anyone know where to get discount helicopter fuel?
