I don't think a communist from the mainland would be able to get away with just claiming to be Taiwanese. Since 1949 they have been separate countries, each with their own passports and birth certificates. You'd have to be older than that to have been born in the Republic of China (which is now Taiwan, but once controlled the mainland before the commies took over) but still be a mainlander.
That's the best way to get in though, state you're from Taiwan and people will give you leeway.
Lee Wei?

the amount of freedom to move or act that is available. "the government had greater leeway to introduce reforms"

I think I pulled a muscle laughing so unexpectedly. Your comment hit like a shovel to the back of the head. 😂😂
Ho Lee Fuk, you don't know Lee Wei?
Lot of people coming here supposedly from Hong Kong are going to be doing the same thing. Easy cover.
