There is no Coronavirus here in Florida. I was telling my wife how surreal it might be to live in another state with lockdowns. We were driving through a smaller town that had a Christmas parade we were not aware of. The traffic was jammed, parking was nowhere to be seen. The amount of people walking around was like Mardi Gras or something. We live in different worlds depending on the state. There is no mass hysteria or fear here. We did lock down pretty severe in June for a few weeks. As soon as that was over it seemed like Floridians had decided we were not going to have any of that. How has Coronavirus changed my life? Dinner reservations. I have to make them now. I have generally never had to in the past. The restaurants are full, packed to the hilt on the weekends. Never seen them like this.
You see the liberal advocates for policies and then flees whenever they are implemented. Florida is swamped, pardon the pun, is because every single New Englander is down there escaping the tyrannical lockdowns they praise and demand on social media.
Probably spot on. Explains the crowds, its not because more people are going out, its because there are more people. A lot of the people I see look uppity as well, way more than usual, not what I am used to as a Florida cracker. I think you hit the nail on the head for real. These are not Floridians.
My small town was still open spring break this year and had a huge influx of visitors that weekend just because our resources were open and not yet picked clean. The lib locals freaked out and we have been locked down since.
There were a lot more NY/NJ/MA plates putzing around this state in the summer than usual... In the winter some of the snowbirds (probably dems) register their car up there and drive down, the kids come visit, northeastern plates aren't too rare. But in July? Normally not too many out of state plates. So many this year.
Real estate is through the roof here, people are getting asking or more when they sell, takes literally a day to sell a house. Pull up realtor.com -- everything is contingent here. It's crazy.
(I only hope that some of the out of staters that are showing up / moving are Republican refugees and not here to shit the place up with their Biden votes)
I live in GA, and while Kemp has been a complete shithead on the elections he hasn't been bad on COVID. Maybe his Chinese handlers told him the real deal back in Houston last year wink wink
But anyway, living in GA and looking at these states like CA, PA, NC, MI etc, the only thing I can think of that's close would be what it was like to live in West Germany back in the day
While Adolf Cooper has NC on lockdowns and curfews now, the severity of it depends on where you're at. Where I live, our Sheriff and county DA said they're not enforcing the governor's mandates for various reasons, and the stores and businesses I frequent don't say anything when I walk in without a mask.
Meanwhile, 10 miles up the road, a major city and county in the piedmont, have gone full tilt crazy, authorizing any city/county employee to issue citations and fines.
But yeah, you're absolutely right about us turning into a socialist/communist state now - they've had a major portion of the population at each other's throats over the whole mask thing, and now they're starting to get people snitching on one another.
The main thing is to stay out of the densely populated cities and their counties.
SoCal here , we avoid the Major Cities and just stick to our “Free County” (Riverside County Sheriff will not comply with Govs orders) . I rarely wear a mask, just the Supermarket. I nod to fellow Patriots and go about my day .
My 11 year old daughter has been in two Christmas parades so far in Sarasota, FL. She is an aerialist in the circus. They have 11 shows over christmas break in an arena that seats 5,000. Last year they sold out every show. There are thousands of Amish in town, as it is their preferred vacation spot. Many will be at the shows and none of them wear masks. I wonder how Covid is affecting their communities? They don’t have televisions after all.

You should get Ron DeSantis to do an exchange program with blue states. One Bidet voting Floridian for every Trump voter stuck in a blue shithole.
Also make sure I'm at the top of the list, thanks.
DeSantis is going nowhere between now and 2027. We're keeping him 😀
Fuck yeah man. I feel the same loyalty to Ron Desantis as I do for GETOUS.
I'm right after you
Great idea! Add my name to the list. One of their ass sniffers can come live the Bay area while I relax with you sane patriots.
Please.
Allow me to explain the liberal.

The lib locals are probably now in Florida celebrating.

Are you a Biden voter? Because Fauci would have us believe you'd all be dead.
