Russian pede here. I was very critical of Putin's policies. I could be considered liberal in around 2015. I still am critocal of his actions for some degree. However, dome time back, even not knowing all that media and nwo shenanigans, I tried to speculate, how would I behave in Russia's political environment - with rampant corruption and hundreds of local tzars on their thrones in every oblast and russian republic. And actually I concluded that the very thing he did - creating a centralised governing body based on loyalty - would be my course of action. You cannot invoke the law when the country is lawless. you have to establish order first and enforce the law, hard way.

Putin's not perfect, but he wants Russia to have its own sovereignity and build up on our own. Note that there's almost none chinese capital in Russian top companies, and most of them are controlled directly or indirectly by Russian government. He keeps Russia intact.

This is still an oligarchy and goes against the American constitution.

That's true. But you cannot just jump through all the development steps of a country without experiencing and iternalizing them. Russia was cut from that growth process in 1917 when commies overtook the power, and what we are experiencing in Russia is a pendulum swang back. We are fast-forwarding through it, but it takes time to grow into a proper country. We will get there eventually.

No you won't.
He sold Russian land in Siberia to the Chinese, destroyed schools and medical system.
Oh, and he rigged elections, so there's that.

Watch the downvotes come in from the "patriots" who think dictatorship is good so long as it benefits their cause.
Liberty lovers, my behind.

So fucking what?

We're allied with ethnostates (Israel) and kingdoms (Saudi, Morocco, etc) in the middle east, and those go against the constitution too.

I think he's putting in people loyal to him because the swamp runs deep it needs to be drained and the creatures need to be executed or life in prison I don't think he wants to do the next 4 years but he's a badass and knows he HAS to.. I think JR runs 2024 and hopefully wins a free and fair election

The same swamp that ran the USSR.

Thank you for your input. I was wondering, what do you make of Zhukov? I heard he was a rising star in Russian politics.

He became too popular right after the war and was eliminated from commanding positions. He was a threat to Stalin.

No, different Zhukov. Not the WWII general.

I'm willing to consider he might not be quite as monstrous as I think he is. We've been allied with Russian monsters before anyways, and it would be very good to do it again if it means defeating China.
