I'm sure it's all just a "misunderstanding"... kinda like a "glitch".

I'll grant you, it appears he has plausible deniability but it all smells like insider trading.

But, $15M is too large sum to do that as a "scheduuled" selling. It's usually not this much of high amount.

Report them to the SEC? They don't mind making examples of people so the rest of the market can keep up the pretense that insider trading is a no-no

11
Ballind 11 points ago +13 / -2

The sec is aware

-1
Cantshadowbanthemall -1 points ago +2 / -3

Sec might be one of the few un-cucked investigative agencies, though they may have allegiance to the Rothschilds, they at least investigate!

8
ProgramNerd 8 points ago +9 / -1

Analysts are invited to regular meetings where they probe with questions that are essentially insider trading with a little bit of political speak. They cal it guidance. Instead of "do you think the stock price will go up after earnings?" they ask "do you think you will surprise us strongly with earnings?" *wink wink*

The only thing the SEC is does is make sure that the peons doing the actual work don't speak out before the really big boys (billions) get to make their moves.

There is no such thing as an uncucked government agency. Even the ones on "our side,' (no such thing) have historically only lasted through 1-2 opposing presidential terms before being turned to use on us.

The founding fathers knew what they were talking about when they restricted our government down to the bare minimum. By making sure they could never charge an income tax, they kept the government budget anemic. A government with no money can't terrorize you.

At this point, why wouldn't you feel righteous about stealing and treason? It's like being the only car on the road going the speed limit while 50 cards whiz by at 20MPH over. You're just causing a hazard for being honest.

Can we have a list of their stock sales for the previous year before we go making assumptions?

4
BigDonEnergy 4 points ago +5 / -1

I just woke up can someone explain what solar wind is to me? And why everyone is talking about it?

4
bidensmissingbrain 4 points ago +4 / -0

Solarwinds is a company that deals in IT tools, specifically RMM or "Remote Monitoring and Management". There has been what is believed to be a state-actor led breach of their software which can/has basically compromised any system with their software on it, including systems inside the US government.

This is a pretty big deal inside the tech community right now, especially those of us who run businesses that utilize RMM tools like myself (fortunately I don't use Solarwinds) because it doesn't appear to just be a case of "oh someone didn't have MFA and their password was leaked" but rather someone was positioned inside the company and purposefully implemented the malicious code (at least, that's how it appears right now).

IT is about to get a whole lot more expensive...

As it pertains to this post, the CEO of Solarwinds sold off a bunch of stock about a month ago. The attack was executed late spring this year so the speculation is the CEO found out and sold his stock before going public.

2
LiberalismIsTheVirus 2 points ago +2 / -0

I use their remote software at work, but I only knew it was them because of these nonstop emails they send me titled Solarwinds

4
USCG_Vet 4 points ago +4 / -0

As an IT person who grew up with Idera 8 (purchased by SolarWinds), I can confirm, this is a very big deal. Very serious. The election is not what I'm worried about right now. This is bad!

2
USCG_Vet 2 points ago +3 / -1

It's really REALLY BAD! This is no joke bad.

Not that he isn't complicit, but stock sales wont be the way to nail him.

Someone at C-level is always going to be considered as having insider info - any publicly traded company, all of their stock sales will be managed outside of their own control. They probably have some pre-determined strike price - IE SWI hits a certain price, and blocks of the C-level persons shares are liquidated for them.

Crooks bank in on their companies failure/error at the expense of your 401k.

Their software was hacked a ways back (gov just released statement on it today), turns out ceos of company withdrew 10s of millions worth of stock about a month ago when the hack was estimated to have first occurred.

The new CEO that came in a week ago, plenty of donations to ACTBLUE. I saw it on 4chan late last night on my mobile device. Please don't hate me if I'm wrong.

That should be illegal

1

No worries, they will do an internal investigation and find no wrong doing.

If Martha Stewart can serve prison-time for insider trading surely these clowns can rot for a few decades.

1

1
Nrdrsr 1 point ago +1 / -0

They need to schedule these way in advance - my guess is he delayed the release of the information to time it with his sale.

1
CoolAsACucumber 1 point ago +1 / -0

There's certain periods of the year where the executives of a particular company can trade stock and most of the time they are paid primarily in stock.

1
jubyeonin 1 point ago +1 / -0

He sold stock as he was leaving? CEOs who have no control of the future of the company do that. Not really incriminating.

1
DreddPirateDonald 1 point ago +1 / -0

All the fake news media saying Russia did it... Who stands the most to gain? CHYNA!

1
glasses2020 1 point ago +1 / -0

You need to compare this with his history with the stock. Some CEOs are paid almost entirely in stock and have regular scheduled sales of stock. It's not any indication of insider trading or knowledge.

Lembas_Bran 0 points ago +1 / -1

Looks to me like some big-time databases may have been exposed to hackers for data manipulation and/or theft because of compromising Solarwinds software programs.
