Football is like playing chess with human players and it requires intelligence and strategy to coach at a high level and extremely high athleticism to play. These people are clearly too stupid to understand it and too unathletic or too big of pussies to play. I hate them. I don’t shit on them for like horrible movies and music and wearing stupid clothes.

I agree with everything you said except for embracing the distilled “two people hitting each other” narrative. If I were a professional fighter and someone said all I do is hit people when I know there is much more to it than that I would be offended.

But in response to that, the NFL itself over the last several years has been adding arbitrary rules and the games are more and more decided by the refs each and every year. I quit watching football since it too became very commercialized and bs rules being called by blind/paid/or just against my team (kek) refs.
They need to simplify the rules to where it's less subjective and causing an overdependance on ref's judgments and camera angles.
Anyway, now that they've literally sided with our enemies they're both dead to me.

I still watch but I try not to get as emotionally invested and just appreciate the beauty of a well designed play, or a good tackle, or throw, or catch. I know the refs will try to fuck someone over at some point. I’m an eagles fan and when I watch I can predict with I would estimate 80% accuracy when the refs will throw a PI to extend a drive or call a holding penalty so one team doesn’t extend their lead too far. It’s clear if you follow the games it’s all rigged. They love Patrick mahomes so he gets every call known to man while having all the best players. He’s amazing but it would be more fun to watch if the refs had less power and the players had to win games on their own.
