The people of the Netherlands are in for a rude awaking. Our goverment pushed through a couple corona laws a few months ago which they are now gonna be using. We're are going into complete lockdown and they also made mask mandatory. Both of which they already knew it didn't work in the country's of our neighbors (Germany etc..). We also didnt wear them for all this time and now they are required.
Also the company which advises our goverment (RIVM) just takes over most talking points of the WHO. And when our goverment fucks up, they just blame the RIVM. This company also tried and is still trying to screw over our farmers because of nitrogen. The solution they came with is to turn down the highway speeding limit from 130 km/h to 100 km/h.. But the real goal is to pick their lands for cheap prices and turn all our agragation towards foreign countries.
And most businesses are imploding especially the nightlife scene. Many bar owners have come together and said they were opening in Januari despite the consequences.
And still a lot of people here actually believe all the lies and I even got comments on work like I don't feel save if you don't wear a mask. Getting really tired of all this crap.
And lastly they also banned fireworks because we would be celebrating it with too many people on New years evening. The effect is that little children are now walking through the streets with unsafe fireworks for them. Bad parents? Maybe some, but fireworks sales on the blackmarket have skyrocketed and many kids just get them from others who can get their hands on it without their parents knowing.
