You’re right, of course. Our country today is another chapter in the tale of the rise and fall of civilizations and empires. You can see it in the wisdom of The Gods of the Copybook Headings by Kipling, the “Good times create weak men...” quote, etc. America sits on a precipice because we have gone too long without real, bitter conflict. We have grown soft, opulent, and, worst of all, ungrateful. And before anyone says anything about 20 years of continuous war in the Middle East, I am a veteran of those wars and they are NOT the same. That’s because the country never experienced hardship on the homefront. The average American has sacrificed no real comfort or security since 09/11/2001, unless you want to argue the inconvenience of TSA checkpoints. We are reaping the bitter harvest of our ingratitude and inaction.

All this being said, I do hold out hope for President Trump. I believe he considers himself a Person of Moment, and I know for certain that he is a fighter. I don’t think he will shrink from his presidential duty to protect this country from its foreign adversaries. Optics and fake news and leftist riots be damned. All we have to do is be ready to support him and fight with him. A second Trump term will provide so much prosperity for this country. Our children will be taught patriotism, Christianity will be held in reverence once again, and Donald Trump will tear the media/deep state/big tech monopolies into a million pieces and scatter them into the wind. All we need to do is stand with him. This is America’s final chance to reclaim its nobility and sovereignty. Save our Country!
