I think most people wouldn't comprehend just how big of a deal "nearly five orders of magnitude is." For those of us who can grasp it abstractly, it's enough to make your head spin.

He's a legitimate astrophysicist, but he went the route of the social justice warriors and put science "communication" and money over doing his trained job. That's definitely not for me.
A scientist by nature should always take every opportunity to explain his science to the public, as he is almost always on the public dole. Every scientist is thus a science communicator by heart.
