By my understanding, Rudy Giuliani + team + an expert/professional cybersecurity specialist were allotted 18 hours with a Dominion Voting System to perform their own audit/investigation of the machine.

To the best of my knowledge, publicly at least, I do not believe the method of audit/investigation were specified; in that, I believe they were allowed to perform by their own prioritization within said 18 hours.
