technically speaking GA sent theirs in favor of Biden, but when the official tabulation by the President of the Senate (aka Mike Pence) occurs he selects which electors to certify. What the media is doing is telling half the story to try and get Trump supporters down, and they'll run the story that this affirms Biden's win before his BS speech tonight.
So Pence could select the Trump electors from these contested states and award them to Trump or not accept any at all due to the contested election (also see Ratcliffe statement a few weeks ago about these issues needing to be resolved). Similar thing happened in Hawaii during Nixon/Kennedy.
Okay I'll bite, this is only half right. In order for there to be a dueling slate of electors, the legislature would have to sign off on the Trump electors. This would be in contrast to the governor who signed off on the Biden electors.
As of right now, these are just LARPers who gathered at the capitol, and they will remain that way unless the legislature or judicial branch intervenes and officially approves them.
It's half right because it isn't purely symbolic because events could make it formal in the future, but as of now it isn't legally binding.
Wait, I’m reading Georgia electors voted for Biden....
So the lying press only reported on the electors that favor Biden?
