And Arizona is currently off the block because last week they invoked Section 2, Article 1, of the US Constitution to declared their election results official contested.

They cannot because congress would have to decide the president and vice president separately. She cannot take the POTUS position. Unlike when someone is in office the line of succession doesn't exist as a candidate

We're celebrating the win of a battle. When we win the war, that's when the real celebrations begin.-

4
junta 4 points ago +6 / -2

Why do we celebrate battles won, but get deported for lamenting battles lost? 🤔

We have been fucked and cucked countless times by the GOP at every level this election cycle. It’s always too soon to celebrate. We haven’t won anything until we’ve won ultimately.

You think a Republican VP (who is also up for reelection) isn't going to pick Republican electors? Lol.

As long as these contested states send R alternate electors, its basically a win for that state for Trump.

PA and GA have alternate electors. All we need is a confirmation of one other state for Trump and its basically win. Though yes, not guaranteed, but its still looking very good.

but is it as easy as that nigga mike just choosing da electors he wants? dont congress gotta finna vote or something? like what’s da real next move here brah ???

yesterday they said Nevada would do it too?

31
AndrewCuomosEmmy 31 points ago +31 / -0

We are currently at 268 if our electors are seated in GA and PA. Literally anywhere else puts us over the line, and if you told me in October that the state that won us the election could possibly be Nevada, I'd have laughed. What a year this has been.

8
vote_for_MAGA_2020 8 points ago +9 / -1

We don’t have the states. We just cast an alternate set of votes. The “prime” electors still voted Biden let the state vote tally as it stands now.

The question is, what has to happen for the alternate electors to be recognized?

18

10

And then that would be contested by democrats?

so if we contest - GA , PA, WI, AZ, MI - Biden wont have 270 . VP sends to house. Trump win?

That's what the news about the WI Indefinitely Confined Ruling, the MI Forensics Audit report, and the Chinese Counterintelligence leaks are for. The truth about election fraud will become impossible to ignore. Add to that the threat of charges and imprisonment for those abetting foreign governments in the fraud, and I think it will be hard for the RINOS to vote Biden.

2
Dirtbuggy 2 points ago +2 / -0

Indeed, RINO's will always vote for 'democracy' they are worse than Democrats.

1
ImReallyRich 1 point ago +1 / -0

From what I keep hearing, they are required by law to vote along party lines

What is the make up of the house? I heard 26 republican, 22 dem, and 2 split

1
TommyLasordasBallBag 1 point ago +1 / -0

If they're "contested" then neither gets 270. Can SCOTUS rule GOP seated electors are valid for contest? If so, I hate the fact that literally every future election will have contention. But, this is our only chance to save the republic

5
zestanor 5 points ago +5 / -0

Honestly this is good. The election mechanism is almost entirely ceremonial because of the popular vote. Maybe we’ll start taking house races and state elections more seriously. The states elect the president, not the people. The people elect Representatives to the House, and (under amendment 17) U.S. Senators, but not the president.

3
Leadforpeds 3 points ago +4 / -1

Pence would choose which ones to accept, right?

16
NYC_4_Trump 16 points ago +16 / -0

Yes. He picks the electors from a state that sends two groups.

If every contested state sends two groups, Trump is over 270.

If there aren’t enough to give either 270, it goes to the house where 1 state gets 1 vote. You need a simple majority to win. Currently, R’s control a majority of states.

So, there are two paths to victory for Trump.

Some interesting points:

  • The VP is the President of the Senate by design. Originally, VP’s were the losers of the election. The candidates didn’t appear as a ticket. So, the president of the senate was opposition to the president. Another ingenious check and balance baked into our Constitution.

  • All of the Left’s screeching comes from one thing alone: it is completely ignorant of the Constitution. It knows nothing about it, treats it like toilet paper, and scoffs at the mere mention of it. The Constitution will likely seal this election for Trump - because our founders knew there would be fuckery afoot with stolen elections.

Thank you for indulging me. I like to share my love the constitution daily.

What are the pre-requisites to sending a competing slate of electors? Like... could the California Republican Party direct their slate of electors to vote? Could the Texas Democrats? Doesn't the state legislature have to bless one slate or the other?

MI and WI state legislatures already made that choice. In MI the police are blocking the legislature electors from entering.

24
maga_gal 24 points ago +24 / -0

Can someone explain what the bleep this means?

6
DemonicSoap 6 points ago +6 / -0

This means the president of the Senate will choose which electors to verify... meaning PRO TRUMP ELECTORS! meaning TRUMP WILL WIN PA, NV, GA, and MI. AZ is unconfirmed as of now.

2
ImReallyRich 2 points ago +2 / -0

This seems like too powerful of an option to be baked into the constitution. What stops any state from sending 2 sets of electors for any reason in the future if this happens?

2
DemonicSoap 2 points ago +2 / -0

It's not. The contested election of 1876 had this exact thing happen. Last year some Hillary electors defected for Sanders. There is precedent for this.

Dunno why OP won’t elaborate....

It means the GOP selected an “alternate” group of electors. The “prime” group of electors are still voting biden. The alternate group is there in case lawsuits overturn the fraud, then the alternate group of electors results will be certified instead.

My only question is what stops the democrats from doing this to us in the future? They tend to disregard laws and norms

1
EvilGuy 1 point ago +1 / -0

We have 4 years to completely gut the democratic party. I have to believe the next step is putting some people in pound you in the ass prison. Public trials, lots of videos, lots of memes. Make the normies terrified of what the Dems tried to do.

Then enact one set of voting rules (with voter ID and no ballot counting machines) for the entire country, ... shit maybe time for a new amendment to the Constitution.

The State Legislature has the absolute power to send electors, regardless of the election outcome. Does PA in the title mean state legislators?

1
theglynn 1 point ago +1 / -0

Keep praying, keep trying

1
tdwinner2020 1 point ago +1 / -0

It has to be the legislatures that name them.

2
Legalvotesonly1 [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Nope. See 1960 Hawaii. Similar circumstances

2
aric_cavanaugh 2 points ago +2 / -0

Looking into this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1960_United_States_presidential_election_in_Hawaii

Two sets of electors were sent, but they were both certified by the Governor. It sounds like the second set of electors were certified after legal proceedings/recounts had finished (and well after the electors had voted), but were not certified initially.

I think the key thing is that those votes were certified whereas as yet the GOP electors from PA/MI/WI/NV/AZ/GA are not. Whether they will be by Jan 6 is up in the air right now, but until they are certified I don't think they matter.

1
Legalvotesonly1 [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Good analysis but it doesn’t really matter. Pence has the sole authority to do as he pleases

0
aric_cavanaugh 0 points ago +1 / -1

Having the authority to do it and doing it aren't the same thing.
