Sophos? We're working on resolving this. Giving them the benefit of the doubt. For now.

Hunterscrackbaby 96 points ago +96 / -0

Can confirm sophos here.

I am one of 3 IT guys that have access to blocking policy. All conservative. Sophos must have changed something this morning.

I was really concerned one of them was a commie...

I may or may not be responsible for sending a "fuck your feelings" meme that was a photoshop of GEOTUS skull fucking AOC as she cried.

The IT group loved it, the accounting lady who walked by someone's desk...did not.

Still employed!!

I feel both disturbed and proud at the same time.

Good job.

Hunterscrackbaby 4 points ago +4 / -0

Hey man, I'm not saying I'm into horses.

But I'd consider hate fucking AOC if she wore a bag on her head.

I am a crack baby after all

Makes it easy to play whack-a-mole when they are all popping their heads up instead of hiding in the cracks like cockroaches. The arrest list has to be extremely long.

JohnSpartanSAPD 15 points ago +15 / -0

I see the same issue and it was because of the SSO set up

Yeah as soon as SSO was implemented Checkpoint blocked the site where I worked. Good thing I have alternatives

You probably shouldn't be browsing TheDonald on your corporate network. I'm guessing a lot of employers, especially big corporations, would punish or throw out employees caught viewing "unapproved" news sites outside of the mainstream.

Save it for home.

Exactly! I'm required to wear a mask at work. Never done it. They need me, if they fire me for not wearing a mask then I get a new job. Life goes on!

Excellent. The moment you adopt the mindset of you "I am not disposable to my employer, but my employer could be disposable to me if I see fit," your outlook on your professional relationship will change. The truth is you both need each other to some degree, but employers DO NOT hold all the power. You are valuable.

BarneyFranksNipples 8 points ago +8 / -0

Unless you’re an unskilled cashier at fast food, demanding $15/hr. Then you’re less valuable than a touch screen ordering system or app 🤷

Get a home router that has a built in VPN I don't trust my works wifi and always VPN home to browse :)

4
zooty 4 points ago +4 / -0

Or SSH tunnel if you know what you're doing.

1
theepic 1 point ago +1 / -0

ssh outbound to rando-destinations is blocked by any half-decent big-corporate IT.

1
zooty 1 point ago +1 / -0

Depends. It's worth checking for anyway.

1
Jaqen 1 point ago +1 / -0

Been a while, is it dash L or dash T?

The syntax for the source and destination ports always felt backwards to me. I blame the OReilly books for having those distractingly cute animal pictures on the front.

2
zooty 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yep. -T is to disable tty emulation.

1
zooty 1 point ago +1 / -0

I always used putty so it was through the gui but I believe it's -L for local on the command line?

Used to be fairly regular for me. Whitelisting was more common though. Categroies are often a bit too broad.

If your employer hasn't blocked Tor, you could use that (but the Cloudflare CAPTCHAs might get annoying)

26
SLICKNICKV69 26 points ago +26 / -0

Still free to browse on all of our USPS computers lol

16
PapaPepe 16 points ago +17 / -1

I wouldn't do it on gov computers. It could possibly fall under hatch act or something if someone got mad. They even sent out a social media warning about it a few months ago for my agency. Stick to you phone for TDW at work

9
SLICKNICKV69 9 points ago +9 / -0

Good call. You would be surprised at what you can get away with here though. Here being USPS as a whole. It is terrible.

Sometimes I wish my IT guy would block thedonald just so I could get some work done. But I work at home because of the CCP Flu and I'm the IT guy here so it stays open.

10
RedPill_Suppository [S] 10 points ago +11 / -1

Nope. Can go on all sorts of entertainment related sites still. Reddit works of course

9
octhrope 9 points ago +9 / -0

thedonald.xyz thedonald.one thedonald.space

3

Those won't be up until .win is irrecoverable

3
befehlistbefehl 3 points ago +3 / -0

Nah, that can't be it.

12
Trumpian 12 points ago +12 / -0

Do not use company internet for visiting sites. Everything is tracked and could be used against you. Instead use a hotspot or your personal phone.

8
misterLahey 8 points ago +8 / -0

Why are you shitposting on work resources and on company time though?

17
Boldwithoutthebull 17 points ago +17 / -0

Because it's the kind of company that blocks thedonald.win. commies don't deserve his labor.

9
kag-2020- 9 points ago +9 / -0

Many companies have policies that allow you to use the Internet for personal use as long as it doesn't interfere with your work. Why aren't you so efficient at your job that you have time to shitpost on work resources during company time?

8
MichaelGioIreland 8 points ago +8 / -0

There are some interesting studies from Europe showing employees are able to accomplish all of their work in 4 to 5 hours while the remaining time is just wasted with talking, browsing the internet, playing games, ect. This has led many companies to have 5 hour work days (at the same salary of 8 hours work) where the employees finish more of their work than their 8 hour counterparts.

2
misterLahey 2 points ago +2 / -0

Ha. I do. I just use a separate, personal laptop to do so. No way I’d write half the crap I do on a company network, LOL.

7
ReginaPhalange 7 points ago +7 / -0

You’re on this site on your work computer? Hahaha!

7
AlohaChris 7 points ago +7 / -0

Same thing at my job, Pedes.

7

4

My ISP has blocked TDW. The commies are going all in to push “the zombie and the prop” across the finish line - damn the optics... they must suppress the truth at all costs!

1
RenaissanceOfHope 1 point ago +1 / -0

Your personal or work ISP?

1
maxtolerance 1 point ago +1 / -0

Personal, switching to cellular no prob. Happens in Safari more than other browsers. Seems conditional and not ubiquitous as if an algorithm or individual is throttling it. Sometimes changing browsers allows connection w/ ISP. Other times absolutely no connection on ISP regardless of browser.

DefaultFreedom 2 points ago +3 / -1

Don't visit this site on your work device.

2
HighEnergyD 2 points ago +2 / -0

In all fairness a few providers did the same thing. Saw it happen with Bitdefender and the new authentication.win page. I submitted the report when it happened and it's been cleared up.

2
JohnSpartanSAPD 2 points ago +2 / -0

I see the same thing since the SSO thing for TD was turned on the other day. At least in my case it was not because TD is being blocked, because I know what the block page looks like. It is because of how the SSO is set up.

2

Its not your employer, its your employers security provider,

2
NotMyGovernor 2 points ago +2 / -0

search up php proxy on google

You can find hundreds of php proxies set up across the globe. It'll allow you to use a different route to .win .

Dessert_Eagle 1 point ago +1 / -0

Employer? You mean a work computer? I've seen work computers block YouTube, instagram, etc social media, and even wikipedia! For an assignment, I had to get a news source about something relevant and we weren't allowed to use CNN, ABC, Fox News, etc (and he thought of Fox News as conservative) so this doesn't look like an anti-Trump move, but maybe the employer just doesn't want you to visit any social media or political sites? I bet that he blocks "reddit" as well.

1
weneedaweedeater 1 point ago +1 / -0

That's no blockage. That's a typical cert issue. Firewall changes or updates can cause this from time to time. You're probably good.
