So.. apparently. The governor selects a slate of electors. Then the State Legislature can also select an Alternate Slate of Electors if there is grounds to believe that the election wasn't fair. Both sets meet today and vote, and the results are sent to Congress.

If both Chambers of Congress (The House and The Senate) accept one slate, then the matter is settled, if there is a division, then it seems as though there isn't really any precedent. At which point I am assuming the supreme court would be forced to give a ruling.

Dueling slate of electors to be sent by state legistlatures to us congress.

President of the senate has the responsibility to choose the electors.

May lead to a contested or contingent election... in which case the POTUS is decided by the house and the VPOTUS by the senate.

I thought as VP, Pence could pick whichever slate he wanted???

That was my understanding. This whole thing is confusing because I've also seen people saying what you are saying.
