Can someone explain what happens when a state sends alt electors? Does this mean if trump hits the 270+ mark he's won? What happens??? I'm freaking out.
There is precedent for this. Look up the contested election of 1867 and the Hawaii dueling slates of electors of 1960.
As per the US Consitution, on the second Monday of December the state legislatures cast their electoral vote. Dueling slate of electors to be sent by state legistlatures to us congress.
On January 5th, the president of the senate counts those votes.
If (and when) all of the evidence of fraud is publicly accepted as truth, the president of the senate (Pence) will choose which slate of electors to "count".
If there is parlimentary procedure which stops this counting... it will go to a contingent vote in the House.
President of the senate has the responsibility to choose the electors.
May lead to a contested or contingent election... in which case the POTUS is decided by the house and the VPOTUS by the senate.

Contested electors means if legal process shows fraud then Pence throw out fraudulent electors and accept Trumps.
