I rescued one of those car flags once from the middle of a busy highway. Cars kept going over it, I waited for a break in traffic and ran out to get her. The plastic pole was beat up but the flag, thick nylon, cleaned up nice. I still need to sew a new topper - it's been forever - and then she will be a window flag.
I found a flag in a trash bin at my job, I work in a warehouse, I immediately pulled it out of the trash, folded her up and took her home, she now sits at the bar in my basement.
Good work. It really grinds my gears whenever I see someone flying a ripped up and tattered to pieces flag. It doesnt look cool or badass or anything like that, it just looks shitty and disrespectful.

I found my flag in much the same way. Just thrown in the gutter. She hangs freely on my wall now! Can’t believe anyone would do this to our great flag. People have died for it! Treat it that way!
