Barr's letter was not your garden variety of 'thanks for the memories'...bye bye letter...he really went to town on how Trump had been terribly abused and maligned and how he had done amazing things despite it all....I have a VERY good feeling about this.
Exactly! It's all role playing! What a completely crap leader Trump would be if it was obvious to everyone that Barr was doing his job and building the cases. The reason that they didn't get "some arrests" is because premature arrests would accomplish little or nothing.

I agree - difference of opinion. I also think Barr just wants to continue on with his retirement. Everybody is being so hard on him. He wrote a wonderful goodbye letter giving GEOTUS praise for the work he is doing. We can't turn on people who support our cause. It is my understanding he couldn't spill the beans about the investigation. Repubs play by the rules unfortunately
Yeah, I am very ambivalent about Billy Fried Bagpipes. I've always hoped for the best from him. Part of me hopes that some of the public animosity was theater and Barr was getting some things done behind the scenes. Of course, I was hoping that about Sessions too...

I took that as traditional courtesy, nothing more. Now, what ever Barr is doing before he bolts will be the true tell on if this is genuine or not.
