Not gonna matter. Their TOS clearly states that they can call it whenever they want, and whoever is percieved to be the winner at that point is who the bets are paid to.

god i hope not. mine still open. also, don't they make you wait 30 days before withdrawing? if so, we're good even if they call it next week.

Betfair also paid out to Biden moments ago

They have based their settlement rules around this

"The cadidate that has the most projected electroral college votes won at the 2020 presidential election. Any subsequent events such as a "faithless elector" will have no effect on the settlement of this market. In the event that no Presidential candidate receives a majority of the projected electoral college votes, this market will be settled on the person chosen as president in acoordance with the procedures set out by the Twelfth amandement to the United States Constitution"

Why not just settle on who is inaugurated??

It says in that paragraph that the bet will be paid to the president as recognized by the 12th amendment process. Doesnt that process include contested electors and the President of the Senate's choices?

the projected electroral college votes is all they care about

The goal here was to pay out as fast as possible. I get that. In most years it wouldn't be an issue. But this year they chose the complete wrong way to settle this.

They have settled 1.7 Bilion (over 2B US $) worth of matched bets.

Don't think there's anything else to do unfortunately due to the way they set the rules.

Nobody should have used this shit site. Shame on us.

Yeah total faggotry but what do you expect when you work with (((bookies)))?

You realize lawsuits are exactly for this reason. It doesn't matter what they "say" if they are acting in bad faith they can't just screw you. Vegas can't call a football game with 2 min left because one team looks like they won already and then refuse to payout when the other team makes a miracle come back.

More like calling a game that goes into overtime, while the refs are still reviewing an initial bad call...

When you knowingly enter an agreement with someone who tells you straight up that they're gonna call it when and how they see it, its not illegal when they do so. No one should have bet with any of these places. Its retards fault for not reading tos as much as it is total bullshit.

whoever is percieved to be the winner at that point is who the bets are paid to.

That works in a horse race. This is a bit different. Given the contested nature of this election - the finish line is clearly inauguration.
