Overall it doesn’t seem much of a loss to pay out early on political bets - probably a fraction of their overall income for the year. In which case it would be easy for someone to say, ‘hey, call it early, we’ll pick up the tab for you - and you get to pay out both sides? All your clients will love you and we get to fuck with everyone’s heads’

Even had odds of 34-1 dropping quickly and I managed to buy in before it slipped down to 22-1 and then betting being suspended. Brutal.
