Yeah I agree, but they are going on that projection, basically it's the electors saying "I voted like this", then sealed, sent off and will be opened in January. So while theoretically Biden won, I'm pretty sure that during the verification, there will be protests and the decision will fall to Pence, so Trump stays president.
But because of their silly rules, they are going solely on what the electors said they voted, which I say is bullshit, especially since the headline is "Next president"
Oh I don't disagree with your reasoning in the least. In theory, we have no clue what those electors wrote on their ballots. For all we know, there could be a pile of faithless ones in there. I put zero stock in what electors may or may not say, what's on paper is what counts. But I can also see why they are following convention. I have noted since I started watching them they try to be old school.
Not all the way there yet, since a lot of people wouldn't recognize or welcome old school "news" at it existed during the Viet Nam war and prior to it. I remember what "news" used to be like, and even what I remember is skewed from what news was before I was born as infiltration had started to creep in by the time I was old enough to pay attention.
