Depends upon what you want to achieve, how much money and space you have for the equipment you want for this results. Definitely possible to do it all at home, but I personally like getting out of the house and doing my thing without familial interruptions.
When I lived in a condo I shared with a bunch of other college students, the downstairs community gym was fantastic. At that point in my life it was the most efficient way for me to stay fit.
I love my gym.. and I'm in great shape because of it.
I also love the people there, the connections I make (good working class small biz owners, first responders, military, and white collar.. I'd say 90% Patriots).
I don't have nor want to own 120s, 110s, 100s, 95s, etc.. down to 12.5's (I do some weird shoulder stuff that you cant do heavy on).. plus a rack, press, cable machines etc..
and oh yeah, my gym has an adults only bar/pool/hot tub .. heckyep!
