Hell yes. I just got back from my local gun store picking up some ammo. It felt damn good to complain about what's going on with basically every single employee and customer. Everyone's pissed. America is pissed. I was talking to an older black gentleman purchasing ammo and they asked him his race (state law) california bullshit. He said "uhh how bout, other?" Lol. I said don't worry, you can say youre gender non binary on the 4473 forms and then they ask you if you have any mental illnesses. LOL. peak 🤡 🌎
Exactly. Society necessitates both genders to perform distinct roles. Every household is the same. Emotions are certainly important, but so is the logic to address it. Like a ship, if passion and feelings were its sails, logic is the rudder. Without either, we're at the mercy ofc haos.
We've been controlled and oppressed for a long-ass time now. That didn't change under Trump, or Obama for that matter. No matter who is in office, authoritarianism has increased.
Will do, thanks! For me it's À l'intérieur (Inside), but fair warning: it's gnarly. Gotta give a shout out to The Children (2008), too. A far too rare example of a director actually making kids seem frightening on screen.
Anyway, a pretty big name long time movie reviewer is a friend of a friend of the family. Luckily he loves to talk about movies, at least to this lucky pede. We were geeking out about Excalibur one time, and he told me a story about the filming of Hell in the Pacific told to him by John Boorman himself. Mifune was very difficult to work with, and they butted heads the entire production. They got way behind schedule and over budget, and the studio sent some execs to location to replace Boorman. Mifune told them that if they fired Boorman, he'd quit too. Fucking bad ass.
And thought I mentioned this in another comment, but be sure to check out Yôji Yamada's Samurai Trilogy. The first two, especially, are the kinds of films that make me lean forward in order to better absorb the beauty of celluloid.
Yea it's a great movie. Kurosawa's a beast. It's hard to be a cinephile on here since most people hate movies because of hollywood. I don't blame them for that.
It's just the new stuff. I saw somebody commenting earlier that they only let their kids watch cartoons from 80s and 90s when they were much more patriotic and not assclown crazy world. I recommend the same for movies.
If a state sends multiple sets of electors, then he can say the election is contested and, I believe, throw them out. And something like 7 states sent additional electors.
This is enough prevent any candidate from reaching 270.
Such a great movie!
Especially in Texas we ain't backing down

He looks just like William Shatner!
I see that centipede banner in the background. Impressive length!

Interesting fact, Seven Samurai and Gojira/Godzilla almost bankrupted Toho at the time.
Star Wars was also not seen as a real winner when it was being shopped around by George Lucas.
Just goes to show sometimes you just need a few people to believe in you...
The plot, characters, costumes, and even Rebel and Imperial symbols from A New Hope borrow heavily from Kurosawa's Hidden Fortress.
There's a lot of scenes ripped from the pages of Valérian and Laureline comics as well.
And check out The Dam Busters for a near shot-for-shot template for the final trench attack. And try not to laugh too hard at the dog's name.
Soy Wars had to wait for testrone levels to drop dramatically in men before it became popular. 😉
Based.
Wow!
I'm living the very rare, but in great taste film references on this site.

This is SUCH an appropriate reference. You understand the pedes are the villagers being taught to fight the oppression, right?

We have the entire Criterion Blu-ray collection of Mifune films. So refreshing to watch vs current pedowood crap.
Takashi Shimura is the real jewel in the crown, as much of a Mifune fanboi as I am.
We only need 3 to be rejected by Pence then the house of reps sends one vote per state.
In what scenario would pence reject any of them?
Any scenario

GA and it’s guidestones need to go.
If that's my time, so be it.
Better that than live on my knees.
No LARP, no exaggeration.
No man is truly free who puts his security before his principles.
SHINY AND CHROME!
I was going to say those exact words.
