I know it's an unpopular opinion but I have a feeling Barr did what POTUS asked him to do.

I would also like to point out, after rereading Barr's letter and Trump's tweet, neither Barr nor Trump said resign or fired. Trump appointed an Acting AG ONLY. Barr could come back all fire and brimstone locking up 1000's after "leaving" for a Christmas vacation with family.
