That’s probably why YouTube and other Google services went down this morning.

None. They are victims, not perpetrators.

You don't know that.

I see that you don't know what "complicit" means.

None were complicit.

Umm of course I do. You make it seem like you know that none of these companies were in league with Solarwinds. We know Dominion was. How many others? You say none but you don't know that for sure.

Nobody is "in league with" Solar winds. Solar Winds is a business. They have customers. Who use their products.

Somebody (presumably a foreign country but we don't know that at this juncture) has figured out how to crack ("hack," if you will) systems made by Solar Winds and take control. Obviously, Solar Winds didn't "hack" themselves, and neither did their customers.

How do we know they didn't allow access to their system? The FBI doesn't go seize the passport of the Solarwinds CEO so he can't flee the country if he is the "victim". The higher ups also don't sell all their stock right before the election if they didn't know something was happening. They are in league with Dominion somehow and they may be in league with other businesses. Time will tell. I don't know why you're defending them when it's obvious they are part of the problem

I'm not "defending" anyone. I'm speaking as a retired sysadmin with a cybersecurity certification. I've worked on raised floors that are acres in size, and once worked on a supercomputer that my boss was thinking of submitting to the Top 500 list (she never did).

I know how things work in IT. I know nothing about Solar Winds, because they're a Windows shop, and I didn't do Windows.

It could be that the SW execs were involved in some kind of jiggery-fuckery, but Occam's Razor says that they weren't.

So, the mystery remains. At least for me, who has seen this stuff from the inside.

Occam's Razor makes it pretty obvious to me that you don't sell all your stocks and cash out before your crime is discovered if you aren't party to the crime in the first place.
