I am pretty sure Assange is where he is now because he wouldn't reveal his source. He should have given up Seth Rich along time ago, it would have saved us a lot of headaches. Seth is dead, there is zero reason to hide him as a source.
Hope so. He's been tortured long enough. "Truth is treason, in an empire of lies" - all Assange did was expose the truth as a journalist. The way he has been treated is not right in a fair and just society.
Caveat: Granted I do not know what has occurred behind the scenes to warrant this treatment.
Well he is the epitome for what happens when a rule is followed strictly to the word.
He did not want to disclose his sources. So he did not disclose who uploaded the DNC emails, and let the world believe that Russians did the hacking. This was so stupid. Seth Rich died, so "protecting the sources" didn't matter. Truth did not prevail because half the country still believes Russians hacked the emails.
He did not achieve anything by strictly following the rules. He should have understood that he was causing more harm than good, and made an exception to the rule - especially after the source was dead, and disclosed clearly, and incontrovertibly, that Russia and Trump were not behind the leaks.
If Trump does pardon him, my respect for Trump will grow a 100 fold. He has personally suffered because of Assange's decision, and for him to look past that shows truly how great a man he is.
You bring up a valid point. I do believe that there may be several layers to this that makes it not entirely straight forward. A lot of finger pointing can be made.
I also remember at one point Assange's lawyer claimed Trump offered pardon in exchange for Assange saying Russia did not do the leaks. It even went to a UK court and later was debunked. There was another story that Trump sent people to snatch Assange not sure how true that was.
Agreed, this cake has lot of layers. Would be interesting to see if Trump is going to pardon him.

We got a little insight with the Veritas drop. Probably more to come :)

You think? Any reason for this prediction?
Rudy sounding exceptionally sharp in that clip.
What I don't get. He's been done for Treason. Assange isn't a US citizen. He's an Australian Citizen. How does that work then?
