Members of the legislatures did appoint the contesting electors. That's a state official. They're just not certified. The democratic electoral votes that were cast in contest of the Nixon and Kennedy Hawaii election were uncertified as well.

They don't need to be selected by a majority. They're legit. Just sit back and see if Trump can prove his fraud and if he can they'll favor him when the vote comes around in congress.
These electors were not approved by majority of the state legislatures, they were instead ushered out by a select group of legislatures. No special meeting was even held that I know of. It’s a nice gesture but these electors are not official and the states are not considered contested. Trump can still win but this doesn’t really do anything. If the state elections get nullified by judges, no one will get that state’s electors anyways so having unofficial ones on the side probably serves no real purpose
If you actually need the majority of the legislature then there would never be any duel electors. I'll read up on the Nixon Kennedy case but if that is the case it doesn't make sense.
I thought the majority of legislatures were involved with Hawaii after the crooked Dems magically found more ballots for Kennedy

Doesn't seem like it. No mention of a majority. Just that uncertified democratic electors cast their votes which were eventually counted by Nixon himself when congress convened.
