More B vitamins! :)

PSA Also, don't do sugar anytime before bedtime or sleeping; it opens up the blood-brain barrier and allows blood plasma to pass through the gaps, which then turn into lewey body plaques aka alzheimers. It happens all the time, but if you're inactive sleeping, your body burns the sugar much slower, and so it sticks around much longer leaving the blood-brain barrier open longer, and more damage; and sleep in some parts increase brain consumption of energy, so it's a double whammy.

Sleep is essential to life. Without sleep, human beings (as well as most animals) die. Sleep serves many vital functions to life, including repair cycles; and balancing out all the sub-components/cycles that cells need/use to operate.

Thank you. My youngest son just educated me on "sugar brain" and that this possible fourth type of diabetes leads to alzheimers. I have been a food buzz kill my whole life. Eating healthy. Living healthy. After 55 I couldn't take off some weight I gained quickly and I tried everything. Then I found Intermittent Fasting, lost 15lbs and learned on COVID stay at home orders, I can eat ANYTHING I want, including CANDY if I stay in a 6 hour window. I hate COVID. Me love CANDY.

Yes, random fasting is very much part of most natural cycles; but people whom have difficulty getting enough calories through their system of course shouldn't. The fasting example I always think of, is a zookeeper once saying to me, the very large cats in zoo's/animal parks; they go on fasting cycles otherwise they're digestion and health becomes problematic.

Total random other info:

Fat tissue in the human body can store other stuff; like hormones, drugs, etc. So a person who loses fat can end up also processing those other things which were stored there. Sometimes it's long term storage or short term. Some fat tissue is constantly being made/used up; and some other fat tissue is longer deep storage.

So when the body is having fluxuations in things like hormones, thyroid, not also other things like caloric intake or sleep problems/disturbances/changes; the storing of more fat tissue is a respons which allows for the body(or brain) evening out of the fluxuations between highs/lows. The Fat acts like an overflow buffer or an underflow reservoir/storage closet to draw from.

This is also, one reason why when most average people get above usually say 50-55-60 they look healthier with 5 to 15 more lbs on their frame/face (depending how big a frame they have) then being lean. Also, whenever something like a major surgery or illness happens later in life; oftentimes the body cant get enough calories through it's normal digestion and pulls heavily from fat reserves. Having this extra 5 lbs is the energy to help pull through.

Also particularly 40+ and 50+ the extra few lbs, is also very helpful for one of the tip offs of hard to find/detect cancers; because a sudden and steady drop in weight over a few months without diet or other changes, because it can possibly mean the energy hungry cancer is burning through calories while growing.

*hugs I'll get off the soapbox now :)

Thank you for the info. I am trying to find the balance. I know sugar is a demon.

Uh oh… I get tired after eating sugar…

Yep, try to avoid or decrease the amount, or exercise the sugar spike off.

Or at least have things like real ice cream; where the fat and protein levels are high enough that the sugar levels don't spike compare to other things; and the digestion takes longer. Good for some medicines, medical conditions too to carry medicine through the night-time eg Parkinson's carbo-levo.

I love sugar. I have written a song about sugar. Sugar is my favorite pass time. It does more than open my blood brain barrier. They don't call it kiddie kokaine for nothing! My husband says I lite up like a toddler on sugar. Alas, my son just educated me on sugar brain (alzheimers) - so I'm contemplating that - in between M&Ms!
