I don't think the highlighted above is indicating that Barr found nothing, contrary I think it's pointing the other way. I also read somewhere that Barr is going to do a major release before he leaves but he doesn't want to be around to prosecute it. Obviously, we'll see how this plays out but that's the vibe I get from reading this.

I feel like the middle of the second paragraph was a veiled attack at Trump not conceding - potentially comparing the people going against Trump's 2016 call for unity as being wrong yet equivalent to Trump going against Biden's calls for "unity"
I'd like to imagine a world where Barr was playing the game the whole time, and that he was actually a hidden patriot... but I strongly doubt it at this point. It's not impossible, just implausible.
Suppose one could interpret the paragraph in this manner. I harbor no illusions of Barr as a stealth patriot. His suppression of the Hunter investigation before the election was dastardly.
I just got a news alert from fox about 5 min ago saying he was fired. As if it was a separate event from whatever happened yesterday.
I haven't seen much out of Barr. I hope I am proved wrong and he is working on something.
