Ron paul was the original great awakening. :) I'm a lot less libertarian these days, but boy a boy were Mises, Rothbard, ron paul, and other thinkers a good vaccine against communism
Yep, I still think of myself as libertarian, but this past year is showing me that some the threats in the world require power. Trying to square all those ideas. But like you say, the lvmi will always hold a special place for me for showing the evil of the left.
It's definitely tricky to reconcile. Big tech also shows it's not just government that we need protections from. The amount of control that can be exerted by 'private' actors in the modern age is alarming
