Did anyone else put money on Trump winning on Betfair? There was over a billion placed on the US election on Betfair and they just declared Biden the winner. They said its settled because "The Next President market rules stipulated that we would settle the market on the candidate that had the most projected Electoral College votes." Actually the market clearly stated I placed my bet on who the next president would be and I still think it will be Trump. Anyone else want to sue these fuckers when that happens?

I can't find it (I will well on desktop), but the only reason I placed a bet with them was for the fact that they clearly stated they would not pat out until it was beyond reasonable doubt, including any and all legal challenges.
Half of me thinks they were placing the Biden bets themselves from their capital, knowing full well they planned to pay out on the 14th.
Exactly. I called them (both Australia and UK offices) and that was what was clearly stated to me. I think I also have it via email (and took screenshots of the exchange) As such I piled another 10-15k into it.
I'd suggest we keep this thread for when POTUS wins, start gathering info and figure out how we're gonna get our money back (at the very least).
