I have a friend in the hospital right now, it’s due to a blood clot in his lungs. Everyone is making it about Covid (including him) because he apparently had it a few weeks ago. He also has MS... I’m thinking this has a lot more to do with MS than with “covid”. If he’d caught any other flu (which, who’s to say he didn’t? Covid’s just a flu with a99.9% survivability rate) then nobody would be cursing the flu, they’d be cursing MS, which is the real reason he’s having complications.

Edit: actually, I just googled pulmonary embolism causes. The first thing on the list: surgery, especially surgery to the abdomen... which he recently had. He lost a lot of weight, so he had cosmetic surgery to remove extra skin on his stomach. Boom. I’m writing this out mostly for myself. He’s out now, so he’s probably fine.
