There is no way to know what is breaking news and what is disinfo. If we want to remain on the cutting edge, mistakes will be made. Comes with the territory. The trick is just not believing random tweets until they are verified.

Yeah, this is a key distinction. Sometimes information will come out that we aren’t sure of yet, so that’s the tone the poster should go with instead of: It’s happening; The end times cometh because of this one tweet.

If it's only from gatewaypundit it's probably bullshit.

Well, I mean we are basically crowd sourcing news so, it’s bound to happen. I wish it would happen less but it’s the price of getting to know the news first.

That and someone in a tweet misattributed a quote to Sidney Powell :/

Being at the edge of new information (we are the news) necessitates a discerning eye.

Everytime I see "BREAKING" and it links to someone I've never heard of on twitter I worry. NOT UNDERMINING OUR CONFIDENCE PEDES, if I were against us I would try to get our hopes up to watch them get dashed. Know your enemy.

Problem is that everyone has his own (sometimes very personal) definition of trustworthiness
