Neither did Sinema in 2018. McSally (although a weak candidate) was quite a bit ahead right up until the very end. Just like how Biden was behind in most solidly RED areas in this election, then the ol' "Swap-a-Rooney" kicked in. "MUH MAIL IN BALLOTS!!11!!"

Sinemas a strange one. I don't like McSally, she just doesn't seem to have any fight in her at all, but still rather her than a democrat. But did you see that Sinema doesn't stand with the rest of the women (wearing red or white or whatever it was) during Trumps state of the unions? She also clapped for him on his entrance. Another interesting thing the DNC actually threatened her with a censure if she didn't get back in line for- get this -actually voting for/with Trump on too many issues. Not even Tulsi the supposed "center progressive" has been threatened like that.

I actually wish Sinema had ran as a republican than a democrat. I think she would of been a much stronger candidate.

On a side note, I don't see how Mark Kelly won against McSally. McSally's weak as f**k, but Mark's entire campaign ran on "I was in nasa, here's a kid holding a shuttle model. Vote for me because I was in the military, and also nasa.". That was it. That was his entire strategy.

During the election run-up Mark Kelly simply had to cover up his real agenda: His personal vendetta against private firearm ownership. I get that his wife was nearly killed back in 2011 by a lunatic with a firearm (Loughner used a Glock pistol, NOT a rifle) but how is that the fault of millions of sane people that carry and/or use firearms daily without incident in this country? Kelly needs to face the facts that the guy who shot his wife and killed those other people was probably the kind of guy who supports his political positions outside of the gun control platform. Most of what has been printed about the gunman of course portrays him as an "Anti-Government radical" like every other kind of person they don't want to deal with. He was a disturbed loner who needed someone to care about him before he finally went off, and his family, friends, and the "system" definitely failed him in the end. We are ALL accountable for our own actions, Loughner's guilty of killing these people but there's no way it could not have been prevented before it happened by one or two people who actually gave a fuck about anyone other than themselves.

I went to High School with Jared Loughner. He was always kind of a weird guy, but apparently when he went to community college and started smoking weed it triggered his craziness. He went to a town hall before the shooting and asked a question that Gabrielle Giffords responded to. He did not think it was a satisfactory answer so he went to kill her. The guy was crazy.
