Because Smartmatic code is in all of the voting machines in the US. So, this doesn’t just affect 30% of the election results. It affects them all, 100%.
If I’m wrong on the percentage of machines Smartmatic code is in, please correct me. My research shows that all voting machines are running Smartmatic software.
It wasn't auditing the code. It was mostly auditingnGUI functionality and event logs.
There was only 18 hours to audit those machines. Those 18 hours were spent looking at security breaches that are relatively easy to do for Security+ Techs on up.
It was basically a preliminary audit, nothing more. That's why the end of the report says that further investigation is required.
What research is this?
When one company acquires another company, it doesn't always mean that their code is merged.
That being said, I don't trust any of the voting software. But, not for the reason you mentioned.
