Yes, drop everything and read it now. Time to time you would think it is a romance novel, which is true in part. But much much bigger story is society in moral decay. You will read dialogs which could be written now, not 70 years ago - fucking virtue signaling and socialism non stop and how it all leads to total collapse. Just like we have now.

I have been re-reading this book lately. It scares me a little bit, how much it feels like it is happening in our current time. It shows clearly how much we need capitalism and how our current school system is teaching how Government is the answer. Capital in the hands of the people, it's the greatest system ever created. And hearing Bill de Blasio saying out lout and clearly that their plan was re-distribution of wealth feels like a movie, but it is really happening. The fact that we even have lifetime politicians needs to be fixed. No one should be in government who hasn't worked in the private sector. And we need term limits, so they can't make a career out of it.
