Not confirmed but the former Pfizer vice president and chief scientist for allergy and respiratory, Michael Yeadon and German physician Wolfgang Wodarg sent a letter to the European Medicines Agency, calling on EMA to halt clinical trials of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine in the European Union. In the letter, Wodarg and Yeadon stated that the Pfizer vaccine blocks a protein that is key in the formation of the placenta in mammals, and they claimed that it’s possible women who receive the vaccine could become infertile.
My only source is a snopes “fact check.” Someone exaggerated the sterility claim which they fact checked as false, then mention it is possible. Lol
My understanding on this for women is they didn’t include pregnant women on the study, per usual for these. The protein topic sounds like it’s exaggerated as it’s not enough to do anything. It’s more that they don’t have data on pregnant women than they have any concerns. But, could be all a lie from them for all I know. Me and my wife are taking it but are done having children. I would think a child bearing age woman or younger wouldn’t need the vaccine in the first place as they could easily fight it off.
