  • CHINESE VEGITA PROBABLY
51
LawlfulEvil 51 points ago +51 / -0

Goku used the Dominion power level calculation system, so as his opponents got stronger, his power level was automatically adjusted to be slightly higher.

The thing is, they never realized his opponents' power levels would get THAT high, so they had to rush out a narrative about "super saiyan" or something like that to explain it. Then, when Goku cheating to multiply his power level by 50 wasn't enough, we got silliness like "super saiyan 2" and "super saiyan god super saiyan".

It all checks out, though; there is no evidence of widespread power level inflation. Goku trained as hard as Biden campaigned, you see.

Magic_Lags 4 points ago +5 / -1

Well we got Super Saiyan 2 AND ascended Saiyan; Trunks, Goku, and Vegeta could turn ss2 but Gohan figured out how to keep his ss1 body and have the ss2 power level. Man I miss when they were good and not just an over exaggeration of the series. I hated the movies for DB Super and the animation budget was so constrained the episodes were ass. Looked like shit I drew in 3rd grade.

9
Spez_BTFO_v2 9 points ago +10 / -1

In the very beginning he was like a 600 and Piccolo a 800 and it took the 2 combined to defeat a 1200 Radditz.

DBZ power levels got silly eventually.

It gets stupid when a character who seemed all powerful at one point just gets crushed later on. Goku took like 30 episodes to beat Frieza, then Trunks kills him with one sword strike? Makes the entire previous series seem silly.

1
kilkidd 1 point ago +1 / -0

That's the poetic irony of it though

You can be a badass mma God and all it takes is one well aimed bullet

5
MerchantMan99 5 points ago +5 / -0

Right, but all it does is water down his previous badass image. Should the villain be strong? Yup. Should he be 1000x the power level of other characters in the series? No, because that makes everyone else pointless.

Gohan handing Cell his ass is my favorite. Of course, then they proceeded to bury him for the rest of the series. Absolutely pathetic how they wrote Gohan after Cell. The entire arc of DBZ should have been a passing of the torch from Goku to Gohan. Change my mind.

There are things I like about the seasons after that, but it would've been a much more satisfying ending than Goku flying away with Uub.

4
BillDStrong 4 points ago +4 / -0

My clearest memory of DBZ is the first death of Freiza. Maybe that is because it took, what, 10 episodes?

3
lockxirup 3 points ago +3 / -0

Hey stick a spoiler alert on that!

1
BillDStrong 1 point ago +1 / -0

I left plenty to the imagination. How many episodes does it really take, What did I mean, his first death? Does he come back immediately? Does he stay dead in the end? Why does it take so many episodes? Lots of mystery there. To add some to it, Freiza's death isn't the only first during that time.

3
LawlfulEvil 3 points ago +3 / -0

I preferred the original Super Saiyan transformation scene against Frieza.

SS3 itself looked cooler, sure, but the buildup to the original one made it so much better, imo.

...and now I have a sudden urge to go play Xenoverse 2 again.

2
YanE 2 points ago +2 / -0

My doubt about this alternate slate of electors is whether they've been really certified and if this can be useful in the handing out of the certification sheet to the congress. What I'm not understanding yet is in order to have an officially contested election, not only the republican legislature needed to send their own slate of electors (which they did) but they wouldn't have to certify the supposed winning electors (i.e. dems). How are they going to send it back to the legislature? What are we gonna do if the uncooperative courts continue to fuck with us and rejecting every evidence that the legal team brings to the table. I'm completely lost right now tbh

That's correct, but it also just confirms what the person you're responding to said: at the present moment, none of these alternative elector slates have been certified by any legislature, so they don't count as anything until that actually happens, as it did in your example.

42
I_Love_45-70_Gov 42 points ago +43 / -1

Twat Gov Doucey certified the fraud electors 1 hour into the 1st AZ hearing.

I imagine the AZ State Legislature would need to call a special session, then vote to overturn the certification.

So much has been going on, but I think they requested one a few weeks ago but Doucey denied their request.

It may have been another State that did this...

21
UpTrump 21 points ago +22 / -1

Shouldn't need gov douchebag's approval

9
I_Love_45-70_Gov 9 points ago +9 / -0

Not sure. Keep hearing Govs need to call/approve Special Sessions. May be in some State's Constitutions.

It's all shit politics. GA could just do a Special Session without Kommissar Kemp's approval, since he and his comrades don't follow their State or the U.S. Constitution.

They're all a bunch of bald pussies....

5
qwertyuiop123 5 points ago +5 / -0

I think this is based on a misunderstand where the federal constitution says it is the duty of the governor to deliver the results of the election to the US senate for counting. I keep hearing people say things like "This means that if the governor doesn't deliver our electors they don't count", which is an idiotic take. As though the governor can just send Kanye votes or something if he wanted. It is the governors duty not his decision.

2
doobiedaddy 2 points ago +4 / -2

The legislature can override it with a 2/3 vote of each house, however the GOP doesn’t control enough seats for them to do it even if all GOP members back it (which is questionable).

-1
DJTrump_MD -1 points ago +1 / -2

Where does it say 2/3?

1
doobiedaddy 1 point ago +2 / -1

Literally in the Arizona constitution:

(2) Upon the presentation to the governor of a petition bearing the signatures of not less than two-thirds of the members of each house, requesting a special session of the legislature and designating the date of convening, the governor shall promptly call a special session to assemble on the date specified.

All these assholes hiding behind procedure is akin to the teacher stating your grade ( F )must stand despite someone taking your homework and swapping names on it because the grade has already been reported in the official grade book, and we can't change it. It is the most childish, infantile, insane argument one can make, and unfortunately it seems the majority of the GOP are just hiding behind these corrupt governors and officials constantly making the same argument. Yeah, we see their is fraud, but listen do do head, we already reported the official numbers. F THEM ALL TO HELL! It is high time people hang!!

11
geverett18 11 points ago +14 / -3

As I understand it, Congress and the senate will decide which group of electors to count in January. In some cases, if they can’t agree, then AZ’s 11 electors will not count at all

14
SoldierofKek 14 points ago +15 / -1

That's actually a tough one. Some people think you need both chambers to agree to object. Another school of thought says you need both chambers to agree. Historically it's been both chambers must object but I don't see anything that says otherwise. Also Robert Barnes pointed out that Pence could just agree to the Trump electors and that's little that can be done to stop him.

8
NYC_4_Trump 8 points ago +10 / -2

I somewhat believe the Pence angle is how this will go.

The origin of this power was rooted in the fact that the VP was actually an opponent of the President. So, the founders anticipated that the VP would also prevent the president from stealing an election.

Rather ingenious design.

4
NYC_4_Trump 4 points ago +4 / -0

I believe so. There weren’t “party tickets” until the 1800s.

Before then, every VP was the guy who finished second in the presidential election.

I believe Adams was handpicked by Washington - because Washington ran unopposed.

I've been following him on Viva Frei's youtube channel. You could watch his live streams, those are free. I think they're going to do one tonight or tomorrow and I'm sure he'll get into dueling electors. He absolutely slammed the SCOTUS decision. He said if a state doesn't have standing, no one does, which means we don't have a constitution. He thinks they chose not to get involved because of WHO it was on behalf of, and not the merits of the case, which makes it even more disgraceful. He also said that secession talk is folly, this is where I disagree. If SCOTUS is going to disrespect Texas and 18 other states and at least not hear their grievances, and if by his own admission the elector's clause of the constitution is no dead letter law, then we don't have a constitution. We have rule by fiat. So even though I don't live in Texas, I understand if they left, and frankly I'd never pick up arms against them, quite the opposite. I'd happily, cheerfully, pick up arms against biden and anyone who supports that CCP controlled faggot. So if texas leaves, I'm moving to texas to fight.

3
doobiedaddy 3 points ago +4 / -1

On the flip side, if Pence accepts the non-certified electors, people could contest that with a majority in each house. You know full well the House would succeed in overriding that.

The larger issue is the Senate. When Pence counts the votes, there will only be 99 Senators as the GA race (Perdue) won’t be certified. Meaning you need 50 votes for a majority. The Dems have 48 - meaning only two GOP defections (Romney, Collins, Murkowski, Sasse) could tip the balance there and force the Senate to accept the certified electors or just not include them at all.

1
Junionthepipeline 1 point ago +1 / -0

Romneys a guaranteed chinese vote

0
ThePantsParty 0 points ago +1 / -1

Partially correct. If the chambers do not agree, then it defaults to the slate sent by the governor:

When the two houses disagree, then the statute states that the votes of the electors whose appointment was certified by the governor of the state shall be counted

Actually it's not too late to decertify/certify legitimate electors until Jan. 6th.

16
EatDatSideOfBeef 16 points ago +18 / -2

This is exactly right; the reason why all these states are casting these seemingly symbolic electoral votes is that doing so extends the timeline for either court cases or special legislative certification to turn these votes legitimate. It's a lot easier to cast these votes on the 14th and then certify later than it is to justify making new ballots after the Electoral College is supposed to be done voting

10
Captainlizard 10 points ago +11 / -1

I wish this type of comment was at the top of these posts. These electors are not being sent as dueling electors, they are being used to allow a continuation procedurally for further contesting by the Trump campaign. It does help us, but it isn't dueling electors like everyone is celebrating.

The Constitution technically gives the legislature the right to choose how electors are chosen. In every state, they have passed laws delegating that decision to a popular vote within their state, overseen by some combination of the governor, secretary of state or an election commission. It's those people who, based on fraud, certified the elections results while still technically following the procedure set out by the state legislature when they wrote their state's election laws. The Constitution gives legislatures the right to basically undelegate their responsibility and certify a different slate of electors if they wish, but so far no state has actually done this, in large part because the governor and legislative leaders who are most able to gather enough legislators to actually form a quorum and pass a resolution aren't cooperating

It's called a contested election with dueling electors. This same thing has happened before in our country's history. I believe 3 times. The most similar ocurance being the election in the 1860's. States in which the results of the election are contested (in this case pending litigation and tons of evidence of voter fraud) by both parties can cause the results of said state to become contested on the 6th of January when the electoral tallies are being called. When said contested state's electoral votes are being tallied, an objection can be called. After two hours of discussion, if the states' respective sides cannot come to a decision - the final decision will be made by the Vice President (in this case Mike Pence) on which slate of electors (DNC or GOP) should be counted.

The reason that Hillary couldn't simply have Joe Biden choose her electors was because she didn't contest any state, legally. She could have sent her own electors but it wouldn't matter because she had zero litigation in any state (she accepted defeat - conceded) or the results were not close enough that she could contest.

In other words - the deep state COULD have gone this route but they were still reeling from being BLOWN THE FUCK OUT by just how many Trump supporters showed up to Vote. It's a mixture of them not knowing our laws and them panicking. They really were not expecting him to be so popular.

6
Captainlizard 6 points ago +6 / -0

Dueling electors and contested elections are a real thing, but these are not dueling electors. The legislature would have to be backing these electors for them to legally be dueling electors. The legislature chose Biden electors, the state republican party is the group behind these Trump electors. While the legislature is republican controlled, the republican party does not equal the legislature. The only electors that matter are legislature backed electors or governor backed electors.

If the state senate sends a different slate than the state house, they are dueling electors. If the governor appoints a different set than the legislature, they are dueling electors. The VP does not choose between a states political party electors and legislature electors, it just isn't the way dueling electors work.

The states are under contest solely when the objection is made on the 6th of January. Only then do the electors become "dueling" electors. What just happened yesterday is the choice of said electors. The slate chosen yesterday will inevitably become the dueling electors for the GOP's side. When the objection is called on the 6th - you can't go "oh, well one side doesn't have any electors so I guess the objection fails". That can only happen if the other side doesn't wish to persue the fight (but then, an objection wouldn't be called in the first place) These electors will be the electors representing the other side after the objection.

There literally was only one slate chosen, the Biden slate. The legislature/governor/sos choses the electors.** A political party does not choose electors.** The Trump electors you believe were "chosen" were not legally chosen by anyone. You could have a group of people sign papers in your back yard saying they are Trump electors and they would have as much standing as these "electors" have. I don't know why this is hard to understand.

Litigation exists to have the electors, chosen yesterday, be the slate that is decided upon. You don't seem to understand - although I suppose you will on January 6th.

Captainlizard 1 point ago +3 / -2

I am marking this comment. I hope something is done before January 6th, before the selected Biden electors are counted and he is inaugurated. However, if nothing happens before then and Biden is declared the winner without dueling electors (since there are no dueling electors), I will be returning to this comment and congratulating you on spreading misinformation. Doubling down on false info just because you don't want to be wrong doesn't help us win, something you might have to find out the hard way.

That's good.

We have a date January 6th.

See you then - be ready to kiss me out of happiness because Trump was reelected. Be sure to wash them lips first.

You're mixing up your vocabulary. Objections and dueling electors are two different scenarios entirely.

Objections can be raised for any reason as soon as 1 senator and 1 congressman sign off, and it has nothing to do with how many electors have been sent or any of that.

Dueling electors are a scenario when 2 slates of electors are both certified by a state's government and then sent off to let congress decide.

The legislature has to hold a vote to certify them before January 6th, or else they are not legally electors at all.

P0keu 3 points ago +3 / -0

I guess we will see, hmm?

1
ThePantsParty 1 point ago +2 / -1

There's nothing to "see" about what the correct terms to use are...that's a purely factual question that's easily researched by reading the electoral college vote counting policy. But yes, we will see what the ultimate outcome is...hopefully it goes in our favor.

Their state legislature is GOP majority. The GOP in these States can on their own certify their electors through legislature. The DNC does not have the same standing in most swing states.

Electors can be certified by governors, the secretary of state, or through legislature.

The GOP holds the power to certify their electors. Multiple sets of electors can be sent to congress and have been in the past.

Do you mean alternate? And are you are happy with this outcome. It seems the article portrays the election as without fraud and it seems the dismissals in the suits are never about the evidence. Very strange. Seems bad but it’s not Inauguration Day yet. We’ll see soon enough. Guess I need to pull all my stock because you Democrats suck sucks at economy. Really good at lying and stealing though.

STOP Complaining and do something. We need one Senator to demand a vote to contest the election. Ted Cruz is probably the best bet.

Arizona GOP Chairwoman Kelli Ward said that her state’s Republican Electoral College electors, who on Monday cast their votes for President Donald Trump, believe they are the electors that “represent the legally cast votes in our state.”

Republican electors in seven states, including Arizona, on Monday cast their Electoral College-style votes for Trump, which critics argue are merely symbolic and have no force of law. Meanwhile, in the same seven states, which have officially certified the election for presidential candidate Joe Biden, formally appointed Democrat electors to cast their votes for the former vice president, setting up a possible showdown when Congress meets on Jan. 6 to review the potentially competing sets of electoral votes.

Ward, who serves as one of Arizona’s 11 GOP electors, told NTD Television’s “The Nation Speaks” on Monday that she believes Republican electors in all the states in question share her perspective that they represent the legitimately-cast votes in the November election, which she said was marred by irregularities and allegations of fraud.

“It was required as part of our duties so that, on January 6, the correct electors can be recognized whenever Congress gets back together,” Ward said. “If the true electors were not sent, then that would also create more chaos than we already have,” she added, echoing the perspective of GOP representatives in other battleground states who described the reasoning behind casting a competing set of electoral votes.

“We took this procedural vote to preserve any legal claims that may be presented going forward,” said Bernie Comfort, Trump’s Pennsylvania campaign chairman, in a statement put out by the Pennsylvania GOP. “This was in no way an effort to usurp or contest the will of Pennsylvania voters.”

David Shafer, the Chairman of the Georgia Republican Party, said in a statement on Twitter that because Trump’s lawsuit contesting the Georgia election is still pending, the Republican nominees for Presidential Elector convened on Monday to cast their votes for Trump and Vice President Mike Pence.

“Had we not [met] today and cast our votes, the President’s pending election contest would have been effectively mooted. Our action today preserves his rights under Georgia law,” Shafer said.

Republican electors in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Arizona, Georgia, Wisconsin, New Mexico, and Nevada all cast alternative votes for Trump on Monday. While these GOP votes did not appear to have the backing of any governor or state legislature, it is presumed these votes will be transmitted to Congress for consideration during the Joint Session of Congress when the House of Representatives and Senate meet on Jan. 6 to count the votes and declare a winner of the presidential contest.

The Epoch Times reached out to the Republican majority leaders in these states asking whether the GOP electoral votes had the formal support of any legislators, but did not immediately get a response.

According to the U.S. Code, when the House and Senate meet, they have to look into “all the certificates and papers purporting to be certificates of the electoral votes.” Several Republican members of Congress have said they would attempt to object to the counting of the Electoral College votes for some states, which would then trigger a series of debates and votes.

According to the York Daily Record, six Republican congressman from Pennsylvania have said they would vote against the formally certified electoral vote in their home state.

White House adviser Stephen Miller told Fox News on Monday morning that the votes cast by the alternate groups of GOP electors could lead to Trump’s reelection.

“The only date in the Constitution is January 20. So we have more than enough time to right the wrong of this fraudulent election result and certify Donald Trump as the winner of the election,” Miller said on “Fox & Friends,” referring to Inauguration Day. “As we speak today, an alternate slate of electors in the contested states is going to vote, and we’re going to send those results up to Congress,” he added.

Rep. Ted Lieu (D-Calif.) said Miller’s suggestion is impossible.

“Under the law, both the House and Senate would need to agree to object to the real electors and accept the fake electors. There is 0.00 chance the House reverses the election,” he wrote on Twitter.

Since Election Day, Trump and third-party groups have pursued legal challenges to the outcome of the election in six states. None of the efforts have so far borne fruit, including an interstate Supreme Court challenge brought by Texas and backed by 19 Republican attorneys general.

I hear McConnell is fucking around and telling the GOP not to try objecting to Biden's electors. What they fuck? If this dumb motherfucker does this, and the rest of them listen, they deserve to lose the senate. I'll never vote for one of those republican cucks again.

Right there with you. McConnell only cares about his own power. Whether Biden or Trump is president doesn’t matter to him a bit. He’s a backstabbing Judas.

Pence should just make up a number. And if they argue with it. Just be like where is the evidence sweaty. Then keep screaming debunked while claiming you fact checked it on thedonald. No evidence. Also I am pretty sure Pence's number really can not be audited either.

Americans that have natural born children should be able to have weighted votes to count more then 1:1

Furthering the next generation of americans should be a privilege and those that sacrifice should be allowed more say in the direction of our country.
