I know this is not what you want to hear, but I'm telling you out of compassion:
Ventilators are likely a death sentence. There are numbers of >80% dying, once put on ventilator.
Reason is, ventilators inflate the lung through pressure, to get oxygen in. After each day, doctors need to increase this pressure, so that they can keep the necessary oxygen level up.
However, each day will expand the lung even more, and damage it beyond return.
Once the patient gets woken up, the lung barely is able to breath on its own, as the ventilators overstretched them like a balloon.
This is why you hear so often "but he/she had Covid and since can only breath/work out 40% of what he/she used to". Worst case is death due to this treatment method, which apparently a lot of people suffered all over the world.
A New York nurse recently whistleblowed about doctors purposely and knowingly killing patients through this method (because of money). I even saw her today on Alex Jones, repeating her story again.
This won't be easy, as doctors likely will brush it off but try to get your cousin as fast as possible out of this ventilation treatment (instead normal oxygen intake through these little nasal tubes you see elderly people using all the time).
Each additional day will put severer and probably permanent trauma on his lungs!
