If he is already taking action under the EO, much of that activity would likely be sealed/classified at this point due to this being an issue of national security. Information is classified based on varying levels of potential damage to national security with its disclosure.

I've said this several times. The man who campaigned on "Drain The Swamp" and wanting to return our country to peak America, will be the last person who would lie down and let the swamp finally gain an ironclad grasp on it. Trump being so nice about Barr's "departure" is the big deal. That's why there's a theory floating around that Barr's apparent refusal to go after, for example, Hunter is a cover for something bigger, possibly working on grand jury indictments that are either the endgame for holding the White House or the next play after securing the White House through the SCOTUS.
I'm not sure I believe it, but it makes sense out of GEOTUS being unusually conciliatory.
