Admits USB ports exist on scanner machines which are all connect over a local area network to every machine on the same LAN.
With an open USB port you can connect a wireless router dongle and share internet access with every machine on that LAN using Internet Sharing feature on almost every operating system.
This dumb fuck just admitted its possible to have internet on these machines while saying its not possible.
Does it have a USB port... It can have internet access.... https://www.argos.co.uk/browse/technology/networking-and-wi-fi/usb-wi-fi-dongles/c:30069/
if you guys want to buy a dongle... also ISPs sell them to connect direct to the internet.

The CEO said that the machines are inter-connected via RJ45, but he keeps implementing the fact that they were "DESIGNED" to only be on a LAN.
If someone happened to connect the switch for these machines to an external source... that would compromise the air gap for the LAN and all machines would be exposed. His position is constantly pointing towards irrefutable fault of nefarious actors on the ground at the sites.
I believe he has been saying the machines are designed to be on a LOCAL LAN. This essentially points the finger of fault to the local people who are not implementing the system properly.
A "LAN" is a Local Area Network, if one machine on the network has a usb port they could all share internet... and its been around for decades.
Thats why USB ports are disabled by group policy by almost every company who gives a dam about security.
I am well aware of GPOs in a secure environment. :)
