Unfortunately the American Pit Bull is a misunderstood breed. What I mean is the media is quick to say a pit bull attack for views when in fact 95% of attacks are not done by American pit bulls but by other breed people confuse or think are pit bulls. I've been breeding them for over 20 years and I can tell you when I go for walks 99% of the people don't believe what I'm walking is an American pit bull. I can name five breeds off hand that if shown a picture people will say it's a American Pit bull even mutts will be labeled pit bull to get views. There was a recent attack in Florida and a little girl and her brother had gotren bit really bad and the media/social media were claiming a pit bull but digging into the attack it ended up being a German shepherd. It would be similar to saying all blonde hair humans are Irish... Suddenly Irish crime would sky rocket if we counted like that.
