There has been more and more talk about possibly lockdowns and recently I heard of a possible one global which could be up to 10 days which would be soon for the round ups

30 lbs of rice which is a bag, buy 5 cases of bottled water, 2 5 gallon fuel cans fuilled, and 20,000 rounds of ammo.

If things really go to shit the ammo lets you get more of the rest

Someone you know, or who's a friend of a friend on your social network who hunts and fishes does reloading. Sportsmen will know who does it and who's good.

I'm happy to help. Mom here, with 2 boys with hollow legs, now grown. Think about what you like to eat first, and what places in your home you have to store stuff in the event you lose power, places that will stay cool. Go through your food cupboards so you know what you have before you go shopping. Rice, dry beans, flour, sugar, salt(iodized), coffee, tea bags, oils(the big bottle of vegetable oil or Crisco), canned veg, canned meats. Also things you only have to boil water for it to be a meal: cheapo mac n cheese box dinner(sometimes the store brands come in 4 packs), soups, flavored rices. Fresh root vegetables, things like kale too, and winter squash keep for a long time: sweet potatoes, onions, turnip, winter squash, spaghetti squash, carrots, apples, oranges, lemons, limes. If you have a spot in your home that can stay below 60-65 degrees without power, you're set. Hard cheeses will keep there, the aforementioned root veg/squash and things like cabbage too. Dried milk and dried eggs too. If I knew your living situation, rural/city, I maybe could advise on meats. :-)

As much as you can reasonably buy and store.

Get your preps incrementally. A little food and water, maybe a box of ammo. Get stuff you could trade. Coffee, liquor, tobacco.

Then buy a little bit more of each.

Anything is better than nothing.

If you're a single guy you should focus more on ammo, since you don't have family to feed, but you will have tyrants to ...

Well, I keep a list of "our fall accomplishments" on the fridge, so I'll just list it. One chest freezer full of meat: pork, chicken and bacon + salt pork from our local groc store (they do awesome meat sales), and 120lbs grass fed beef (some I canned) I traded 200 strawberry plants for. Literally, such a sweet deal. 30ish pounds haddock, lobster meat, mussels, and a few pounds white perch. 200 jars canned veg from the garden, 63 jars jellies/pickles/relish. 32 butternut squash sitting in the corner of the bedroom, 2 beer boxes storage onions, 1 beer box garlic heads, 21 pints dried cooking/tea herbs, 1 chest freezer full of frozen veg and fruit, applesauce, fruit juice for making jelly. Firewood is in. Plenty of ammo. Food is for me and the dh, son and DIL, and our neighbors should they need it. We put up approx this much food every year because winters suck here. Since thanksgiving we've had two power outages due to storms already, for multiple days each time. That's just the way it always is. This year we did extra. Sorry if you didn't want the whole list. :) I worry about folks in cities, don't you?
