For awhile, people where I live were spraying their own sanitizer on the checkout keypads/card things so they had to put up signs begging people not to. Otherwise, they wouldn't work properly
A local grocery store had to put basically a sticky plastic wrap on all their card readers because idiots kept dousing them with like 10 sprays of sanitizer and fired some. I overheard people whine about how "you not opening every other register line the state says you should! Why do you want to kill me?" Well, if you idiots would stop destroying card readers faster then they can replace them....
Costco needs to get a clue and get Scan & Go like Sam’s Club has. No lines, and no touching covid-infested card readers. We can pick up covid from all the other shit in the warehouse that’s been touched by the masses. 🤣

Kroger had those signs in theirs. People fucked up a ton of the self checkout terminals at one of my local stores.
