Not just the primaries. Local elections, too. Progressives are increasingly elected to town/county councils and Boards of Education. The Republicans need to field more candidates at the local level, it's not like the party doesn't have $$$

I don't know why this concept is so difficult for people. We're no longer in America. We're in a banana republic, a failed state. There are no elections.

It’s not enough to field candidates. It’s the state-level political apparatuses that need to be brought under MAGA-style populist control. Right now, those are mostly controlled by hack lawyers who mainly care about ascending the ranks of the Establishment and promoting empty suits like Ben Sasse.
