It being book number 5 in a series, does that mean one should read them in order?

Book 5, Crisis, actually goes back to the break up and Civil War. The first four books are after that so I would read Crisis first and then start with the first book and go from there.

Here they are in order. All quick reads and immensely entertaining, if not frightening due to their realism to current events.
