We are the guineau pigs and we dont even understand the synergistic effects of combining all of these poisons could have nothing is tested at all because they are assumed to be safe. It seems that he was far from the decision making of this. Officially, the DoD is not requiring it, but individual commanders of units are making it mandatory. Colonels likely do not need authorization from the Whitehouse to implement policies such as these. As stated in Official Orders, commanders have the ability to make a vaccine mandatory if it's for "Operational Readiness."
I am unsure what channels they must go through to deem a vaccine as needed to be operational ready, but nevertheless, that's what they are doing.
Of course POTUS has the ability to override commanders and deem it not necessary for operational readiness.
That's just shitty commanders. Can only speak for Army but There's nothing in DA-PAM 40-502 (medical readiness) that requires a COVID vaccine to be in a deployable status (MRC 1). Most other branches derive their medical plans from the Army's, so I would assume they have similar standards.
Push up your chain and get IG involved if you feel compelled. The DoD only has a finite number of these vaccines anyways it's in their best interest to not vaccinate every swinging dick because they don't have enough.
You cannot get UCMJ'd for refusing a vaccine that has only been authorized for emergency use. Your pals saying they are getting discharged or UCMJ action are misinformed somewhere.
Contacting my IG is the next step, and I'm planning to contact them tomorrow.
As for the charge, it's not coming from my peers. It came directly from my CO. In an e-mail, we were directly told we will be hit with Article 90 if we refuse the vaccine unless we receive a medical exemption (another route I am currently pursuing).

AR 40-562 Chapter 4 & Appendix D list out all required immunizations. Since it hasn't been updated since 2013, COVID isn't on there.
Unless DoD has pushed out a publication mandating them (they haven't) you can point to AR 40-562 to show your commander that COVID vaccines have no impact on medical readiness.
