Caesar was a great leader and politician.

Until he won the Great Roman Civil War and let the power go to his head. He was assassinated a year after he won the civil war.

Well, there are arguments to be made that Caeser REALLY wanted to be king. Like the whole ‘crown’ stunt could be seen as him gauging the reaction of the crowd, his planned parthian campaign could be seen as him trying to fulfil a prophecy that only a king can destroy parthia (or something like that).

For these reasons, I prefer to think of Trump like Sulla. Great man, patriot, wars with the senate and wins, becomes dictator, fixes a load of stuff, peacefully retires after his work is done, spends the rest of his life with his greek twink sex slave. And also his wife.

Trump probably won’t do the ‘greek twink sex slave’ part.
