I have just been informed that starting next week, the custodian company I work for is going to require us to have our faces scanned in order to clock in/out of work. We have been clocking in with a finger print since I started here, which is OK Even though I don’t like that but scanning my face is crossing the line. Is there any smarties out there that can tell me a legal way around this? My job also offers the union. I am an assistant manager also and I don’t want any of my employees to do this cause some might not speak up about it making them uncomfortable or being against it out of fear for losing their job. Help! How can they scan our face to clock in when we have to wear a mask?

Theybdonit at Safeway now too for all employees... says they're checking temperature
Yeah thats really what its for, IR cameras that somehow check your temp. Sorry I don't believe they're anywhere near as accurate as a conventional thermometer. Plus if you come in after doing something strenuous, it will likely ping you at "fever". Furthermore, i don't believe a "fever" temperature is a way to prove infection.
