I have just been informed that starting next week, the custodian company I work for is going to require us to have our faces scanned in order to clock in/out of work. We have been clocking in with a finger print since I started here, which is OK Even though I don’t like that but scanning my face is crossing the line. Is there any smarties out there that can tell me a legal way around this? My job also offers the union. I am an assistant manager also and I don’t want any of my employees to do this cause some might not speak up about it making them uncomfortable or being against it out of fear for losing their job. Help! How can they scan our face to clock in when we have to wear a mask?

Tell them you are uncomfortable, and ask them why did they switch.
Don't take a retarded answer as to why they switched. Really think about the answer they give, and see if it makes sense. If anything strikes you as not a good reason, hammer that point right back in their face, calmly but forcefully.
Stay on that point, use your brain, use strict logic.
It's not a huge deal but you, an employee of the company, have a right to know exactly why things are happening.
